“Strategic Presentation”

How was this class:

I have taken a number of online classes during my time at Rutgers University. And taking strategic presentation has been an interesting one. I haven’t used Perusall since highschool, but using it again was helpful. I think re-reading the articles and reading through it and getting a score back from my annotations was a reminder to read carefully and thoroughly. I skim through most readings on the first read but doing annotations was very nice to help me not skim through and to find something meaningful from each one. As well as a reminder. that even if I didn’t choose that passage specifically to read, it can still be useful and entertaining. I say that because I read fiction during my own free-time. I also found some of the assignments very helpful. Such as the assignments on creating a tutorial. Since I do media, I found that assignment very useful in prioritizing information to include. And just general practice for making videos that will keep users attention, thinking of what people would like to see. I also learned how to post a video on YouTube because of that assignment. And one of the most important assignments that is related to this very blog post. Making a website. I had thought of making a website for myself in the past but I had to create one for two courses in my last semester of college. At first I thought of how much work it would be. How do I make it my own? How do I want to make it my brand? In a time where branding is so important, I took this assignment seriously. I knew this was not only work to do, but something to pour myself into. I wanted to make something completely of my own. And that is what I have been able to do. But I needed that push to create it. And as you read this, take a moment to look at the rest of my website and see what I have been able to accomplish. I have used mostly my own pictures. Shown the work I have done in this past. And included things I never would have thought to include in the past, my hobbies. And it has all come from pursuing a job well done for this assignment and wanting to make a hub for myself. I have learned so much from this course. And I will be greatful for this course helping me dedicate time to myself as well as taking the time to reflect on things.
