Review of Rutgers

8/10 :

As a commuter attending Rutgers University I think there a few things that are really good, and a few things that could be improved. To start, degree navigator is the best thing ever, make it your best friend. If you commute like I do make sure that you do not buy your commuter passes last minute, because it is possible to sell out, and it’ll cost more in the long run to keep paying for parking citations. The buses are easy to learn, but I think there should be more buses overall. There should not be a 30-60 minute wait to catch and LX bus after 4:00 PM. And especially with how crowded they get. So definitely need more LX’s. Invest in good headphones for commuting and get a good backpack or school purse that won’t hurt you, but is big enough to hold everything you need. If you need to eat, lots of options on most campuses. Bring water with you everywhere. If you are on campus for a long time invest in good walking shoes. I also think nap pods would be a huge addition and pro list for Rutgers. I have fallen asleep in my car numerous times and if we had nap pods somewhere on Livingston campus I would have utilized them. Meet your advisors and use your resources. Stay up to date and make sure you keep up in classes. Make sure you have no financial holds when registering for your next semester. And most of all take advantage of all the events and sports Rutgers offers. Put yourself out there. I went through college and I will be finishing next month, and these are all things I wish I could have read in a review about Rutgers. Hopefully this helps someone else decide to attend!
